1. Geolocation & IP Address Detection

To provide you with a localized experience, GoTripping utilizes client-side location detection mechanisms:

  • Silent IP-Based Geolocation: When you load GoTripping, our system silently performs a client-side lookup of your IP address using public geolocation services (such as ipapi.co or ipwho.is). This is used solely to automatically pre-configure your local currency preference (e.g. USD, EUR, GBP) and suggest relevant nearby departure airports. This IP lookup runs silently and does not require explicit browser permission.
  • Precise Browser Geolocation: If you explicitly authorize the browser location prompt, GoTripping accesses your precise GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude) to reverse-geocode and auto-fill your exact departure city.
  • No Data Retention: We do not log, store, or share your IP addresses or GPS coordinates on our servers. All location processing occurs purely client-side inside your browser session and is lost when you close the tab.

2. Local Storage Usage

GoTripping does not use tracking cookies. Instead, we use your browser's Local Storage (localStorage) to persist your current travel configuration:

This includes saving your active planning tab, passenger counts, cabin class, check-in/check-out dates, and your list of "Saved Trips." This data is stored locally on your device for your convenience so you do not have to re-enter search details every time you visit. No data is sent to our servers.

3. Third-Party Search Engines & Cookies

GoTripping is a travel aggregator that renders third-party search platforms (such as Travelpayouts, Stay22, SeaRadar, and Yesim) inside frames (iframes) or via outbound redirect links.

When you interact with these embedded widgets, these third-party partners may place cookies in your browser or collect geolocation data to retrieve pricing. These services are governed by their own respective privacy policies:
